ABOUT THE ARTIST
Konik Polny, which means "grasshopper" in Polish, perfectly reflects the energy and freedom of his music.
Founder of Joprec and co-founder of Berlin Invasion, Konik Polny played a crucial role in the development of the underground music scene in Berlin during the early 2000s. His participation in numerous international festivals and his commitment to supporting rave culture from the beginning made him a key figure for anyone who experienced the vibrancy of those scenes. Not only a DJ and producer, but also an indefatigable promoter of alternative spaces and cultural events, Konik has performed in unique locations such as Bogotrax, the MS Stubnitz club ship, and various squats and independent venues. His performances, ranging from live sets to DJing, have always been characterized by a strong connection to experimentation and sound exploration, reflecting his adventurous spirit and desire to explore new musical territories. In recent years, his base has moved to Barcelona, where he continues to grow his two labels and has also embarked on a parallel career as a writer. His latest project, Vita da cani Musicbook, is the first music book in history, an initiative that combines his passion for music and storytelling, involving many artists from the scene as collaborators. With over 25 years of career, his eclectic sets tell a sonic journey that spans different eras and influences, from the roots of rave to more contemporary experiments. Each performance of Konik Polny is a new expirience, a continuous evolution as an artist, and his ability to convey stories and emotions through music. |
