Manuel, known in the underground scene as TEKA, is an Italian music producer with roots deep in the heart of Italy, born in 1991 and raised between Modena and Bologna. His passion for music ignited during his teenage years when he discovered the raw energy of the underground tekno movement. With a group of local friends, he dove headfirst into the world of mixing and production, starting with little more than some old PCs, a drum machine, and a pair of budget CDJs.

Their dedication paid off when they became part of the Sbirulina Tekno Clan, taking their unique sound to parties across Bologna and Modena, and dropping their first tracks on Myspace and Soundcloud. Their breakout moment came at the 2009 Witchtek festival, where they made waves with their own sound system. After a few intense years, TEKA took a step back in 2013 to focus on personal growth.

By the end of 2015, the call of the music scene was too strong to resist. TEKA reunited with old friend Bobbykush, and together they revived the spirit of their original crew, now reborn as Tekno Ghisa. The crew soon welcomed KIMIK and ENIGMATIK into their ranks, and TEKA’s relentless beats found their way onto several major labels, including TEKNO CITY RECORDS, 5 DAN RECORDS, and RAVE FOREST RECORDS.

His collaborations read like a who’s who of the scene, teaming up with heavy hitters like NEWLOJIK, LUCATEK, and ABSTRAKT. A deep creative connection with NESH MAYDAY from the Mayday Sound System led to a standout vinyl release on BASS ADDICT RECORDS.

In 2020, TEKA made a bold move, leaving Tekno Ghisa to join forces with The Mayday Crew, alongside Nesh, Stiwie, and Discoutsider. His discography continues to grow, with vinyl releases on NOTSELL RECORDZ, KUMITE RECORDS, KOSTIK RECORDS, and FAT FURY.
