TEKNO 4 PALESTINE — Quando la musica sceglie da che parte stare
Oggi, 16 settembre 2026, esce Tekno 4 Palestine — cento copie fisiche, tutto il ricavato in beneficenza. SUM, Bass Lads Crew Records e Revolution Culture APS insieme per il popolo palestinese.
Tekno 4 Palestine è uno di quei dischi che resistono, e lo si capisce già tenendolo in mano, perché arriva solo così — di persona, vecchia scuola, nei migliori store underground — cento copie stampate, digipack tre ante, booklet di quattro pagine. Un oggetto fisico in un mondo che ha smesso di credere negli oggetti fisici, prodotto da persone che hanno smesso di aspettare che qualcuno gli desse il permesso di fare qualcosa.
Il progetto nasce dall’incontro di tre realtà: SUM – Sound Underground Music, booking agency e label discografica underground con sede a Bologna, Bass Lads Crew, collettivo di produttori della scena tekno europea, e Revolution Culture APS, progetto culturale fondato dall’artista Alex Leon che lavora su transizione ecologica, educazione ambientale e reti di solidarietà internazionale.
È attraverso questa rete che nasce il collegamento con Global Movement For Justice Italia APS, l’organizzazione beneficiaria del progetto — un nome che in questo momento storico ha un peso specifico preciso.
Sumud — una parola che pesa
Sumud, in arabo, significa resistenza radicata, resilienza che non cede, presenza ostinata sulla propria terra. Il popolo palestinese la usa per descrivere se stesso da decenni, e che nell’ultimo anno è diventata globalmente riconoscibile attraverso la Global Sumud Flotilla, la coalizione internazionale che ha portato attivisti da 46 paesi a tentare di raggiungere Gaza via mare con aiuti umanitari, sfidando il blocco israeliano. In Italia, la Flotilla ha catalizzato una mobilitazione senza precedenti — il 22 settembre 2025 un milione di persone ha bloccato il paese in uno sciopero generale, con porti chiusi a Genova, Trieste, Venezia e Livorno, scuole ferme, cortei in Bologna, Milano, Torino, Napoli.
Tekno 4 Palestine si inserisce in questo solco sostenendo Global Movement For Justice Italia APS, con i mezzi che conosce meglio: musica e comunità.

Il disco è doppio. Il primo CD raccoglie tredici tracce dal catalogo SUM DGTEK ZODIAC — le compilation mensili dell’etichetta digitale di SUM, rimasterizzate per l’occasione da Insane Teknology — e include nomi come Okten LFO, Rotek, Zetakill, Bedz x NVRSTK, Elixyr, Anton DRB, Jetro Russo x Hifoo, Danikxstem, Luca Zod, Reneg, Sparkling System, Synthologik e Who Is Cupo.
Il secondo CD è interamente inedito — quattordici produzioni originali firmate Bass Lads Records, con Artificial Kid, DAFX, Grime Spitterz, Zymnz, Plagatek, Keephout, Franco Battiato rivisitato da Ganjamal, Amos vs. Acidpach, Mr.Crazy, Vasta, Floe Tos & Nikbadint, Molek, Crunchy Groove e un outro firmato Floe Tos, Nava NTP ed El Piña. Il mastering del secondo disco porta la firma di Keephout. L’artwork è di Plagatek, il graphic design di Ghastboy — minimale, tekno, professionale.
Ascoltando il primo brano, Drop Shot di Okten LFO, già disponibile nel catalogo DGTEK Zodiac Gemini, si capisce il tono di tutto il disco. È tekno dritta, senza orpelli, con quella cassa che non lascia scampo e un’architettura sonora costruita per colpire e restare — non per essere consumata su una piattaforma in shuffle, ma per essere suonata su un impianto vero, in un posto vero, davanti a persone vere.
Tekno per chi resiste, per chi coltiva, per chi sogna
L’operazione economica è trasparente fino all’ultima virgola: cento copie a venti euro, costi di produzione ripartiti tra i tre collettivi e il ricavo netto destinato interamente alla donazione, con rendiconto pubblico alla chiusura della campagna. Una forza piccola, come scrivono i promotori nel documento di proposta, ma reale — e questa onestà è già di per sé una dichiarazione politica in un settore che spesso usa la beneficenza come marketing.
In Tekno 4 Palestine la tekno, da sempre simbolo di libertà e autodeterminazione, diventa strumento concreto di solidarietà, senza intermediari, senza piattaforme, senza algoritmi che decidono chi merita visibilità.
Tekno per chi resiste, per chi coltiva, per chi sogna — è la frase con cui si chiude il documento di proposta del progetto, e vale più di qualsiasi recensione.

Today, 16 September 2026, Tekno 4 Palestine is out — one hundred physical copies, all proceeds to charity. SUM, Bass Lads Crew Records and Revolution Culture APS together for the Palestinian people.
Tekno 4 Palestine is one of those records that resists, and you can feel it the moment you hold it in your hands — because it only comes this way. In person, old school, from the best underground stores. One hundred printed copies, three-panel digipack, four-page booklet. A physical object in a world that has stopped believing in physical objects, made by people who stopped waiting for someone to give them permission.
The project brings together three independent realities: SUM – Sound Underground Music, an underground booking agency and record label based in Bologna, Bass Lads Crew, a collective of producers with a long history in the European tekno scene, and Revolution Culture APS, a cultural project founded by artist Alex Leon working on ecological transition, environmental education and international solidarity networks. It is through this network that the connection with Global Movement For Justice Italia APS was made — the project’s beneficiary organisation, a name that carries a very specific weight in this historical moment.
Sumud — a word that matters
Sumud, in Arabic, means rooted resistance, resilience that does not yield, a stubborn presence on one’s own land. It is a word the Palestinian people have used to describe themselves for decades, and one that over the past year has become globally recognised through the Global Sumud Flotilla — the international coalition that brought activists from 46 countries to attempt to reach Gaza by sea with humanitarian aid, challenging the Israeli blockade. In Italy, the Flotilla triggered an unprecedented mobilisation: on 22 September 2025, one million people brought the country to a standstill in a general strike, with ports closed in Genoa, Trieste, Venice and Livorno, schools shut, and marches across Bologna, Milan, Turin and Naples.
Tekno 4 Palestine stands in that same current, supporting Global Movement For Justice Italia APS with the tools it knows best: music, vinyl, community.
The record, track by track
The record is a double. The first CD gathers thirteen tracks from the SUM DGTEK ZODIAC catalogue — SUM’s monthly digital compilations, remastered for the occasion by Insane Teknology — featuring Okten LFO, Rotek, Zetakill, Bedz x NVRSTK, Elixyr, Anton DRB, Jetro Russo x Hifoo, Danikxstem, Luca Zod, Reneg, Sparkling System, Synthologik and Who Is Cupo. From the very first track, Drop Shot by Okten LFO — already available on the DGTEK Zodiac Gemini catalogue — the tone of the whole record is clear. Straight tekno, no frills, with a kick drum that leaves no room to breathe and a sonic architecture built to hit hard and stay with you — not to be consumed on a platform in shuffle mode, but to be played on a real sound system, in a real place, in front of real people.

The economics of this project are transparent down to the last cent: one hundred copies at twenty euros each, production costs split equally between the three collectives, with the net proceeds going entirely to the donation and a full public report published at the close of the campaign. A small force, as the project’s promoters write in their proposal document — but a real one. And that honesty is already a political statement in a sector that too often uses charity as marketing.
In Tekno 4 Palestine, tekno — always a symbol of freedom and self-determination — becomes a concrete tool of solidarity, with no middlemen, no platforms, no algorithms deciding who deserves visibility.
