SUM DGTEK – The New Digital Label for Emerging Producers

Sound Underground Music (SUM) is proud to introduce DGTEK, our new digital label dedicated entirely to promoting underground tekno artists.

On May 5th, 2025, SUM launches its first fully digital project.

DGTEK was born from the need to give space and visibility to emerging talents and self-produced producers who deserve to be heard – even without a big promotion machine behind them. ZODIAK is the first chapter of the DGTEK project – created to give a voice to  independent producers. A digital journey through the 12 zodiac signs, reimagined through the raw power of tekno.

What is DGTEK?

DGTEK is a monthly digital compilation project. Every month, 4 to 8 tracks will be selected from the submissions we receive and released as a digital EP across all major streaming platforms via SUM.

Our aim?
To amplify the underground sound and connect artists from all over the world with a community that values passion, experimentation, and love for tekno music.

How to Participate

Participation is completely free and open to all artists.

Here’s how to submit your track:

1. Share the official SUM DGTEK post on your socials
2. Like the post & tag a friend
3. Send an email to: sum.dgtek@gmail.com with:
   📧 Subject: Artist Name

📎 Social media links

🔗 A Google Drive link to your track in WAV format (named like this: ArtistName_TrackTitle)

Follow our Instagram page to stay updated on the release of the DGTEK ZODIAK post.

Track Requirements

To be eligible for mastering and release, your track must be:

📁 WAV format

🎚 Mixed at -6db

📡 44.1kHz, 24-bit

All selected tracks will be professionally mastered by our in-house studio Insane Teknology for maximum quality and impact.

Important requirement: all submitted tracks must be 100% unreleased, meaning they should have never been published, uploaded, or shared publicly on any platform – including SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, or social media.

This rule is key to ensuring full exclusivity for each DGTEK release and giving your track a unique spotlight.

Tracks must be delivered by the 20th of each month to ensure publication on the 1st of the following month.

What You Get If Selected

Artists selected for a DGTEK ZodiaK EP release will receive:

✅ Digitally released EP

✅ Professional mastering by Insane Teknology

✅ Promotion via SUM channels

✅ Distribution to + platforms (Soundcloud, YouTube, Bandcamp, etc.)

✅ 50/50 revenue split (you keep 50% of your streaming earnings)

✅ Vinyl release opportunity: one special track each month will be selected and pressed on SUM ZODIAK Special Edition.

✅ Visibility within the international underground community

All sales go toward supporting the project, mastering, pressing vinyl, and growing the SUM collective.

How Often?

Every month, a new DGTEK EP drops.
Each edition explores new sonic paths while staying true to the underground tekno spirit.
